Lydia Hearst & Chris Hardwick

When model and actor Lydia Hearst and comedian Chris Hardwick first began their courtship, they bonded over a love of all things sci-fi and country music.

So it was only fitting that their wedding day incorporate robots and zombies and a dose of Southern charm. “We’re nerds, and proud of it,” says Lydia, who married Chris at the Langham Huntington hotel in Pasadena in front of 750 cowboy boot-clad guests including James Corden, Paul Feig, Olivia Munn, Michael Sheen, Sarah Silverman and—yes—Star Wars androids. “R5-D4 is Chris’ favorite droid, so of course he had to be invited! He was also the ring bearer!” Close friend Christian Siriano custom designed the bride’s “dream dress,” while the groom donned a custom Prada suit. The Rev. Edward Dumke and actor Jaime King officiated the ceremony, followed by a Mindy Weiss-organized reception with zombie servers, hundreds of red roses from Mark’s Garden, and an elaborate Doctor Who-themed confection by Joanie & Leigh’s Cakes. Country star Clay Walker sang “I’d Love to Be Your Last” for the couple’s first dance while DJ Nikki Pennie provided the party’s soundtrack. “We danced the night away,” says Lydia. “Every moment was more perfect than the last.”
