Tough Love

At Sea Ranch Lodge, Stefanie Cove injects a pop of color into one of California’s most beloved—yet challenging—locales.

In Silicon Valley, anything is possible. So when two inspired tech executives decided to tie the knot last spring, they knew Stefanie Cove (one half of the newly minted Oren and Cove) could pull off a bright and colorful Indian/Jewish affair at Sea Ranch Lodge, located in the architecturally distinct community perched on Sonoma County’s windswept coast.

“We had to bring everything in,” says the L.A.-based planner, who worked with sister company Mesh Design Studio on the chuppah and with San Francisco-based Waterlily Pond on blooms, including the upside-down ceiling installation. Despite—or maybe because of—the logistical challenges (unpredictable weather, lodging 150 guests in rental homes), it was an extraordinary coup. Or as they say in Silicon Valley, a unicorn. orencove.com.
