“In this day and age, the wedding day is something very different to how it’s [been] traditionally perceived,” says Stella McCartney. With her first bridal offering, Made with Love, the British designer appeals to a modern bride, proffering 17 styles, including a double-breasted tuxedo, a high-necked gown with a plunging back and a lace-embroidered jumpsuit. Honoring tradition and modernism, she balances classic couture fabrics (chiffon, lace)with sustainable viscose and adds a sweet touch with a sewn-in “something blue” tag bearing a personal message.
